Job Location – West Co. Dublin

Salary – €40K - €45K

 

About the Company:

Our client based in West Co. Dublin have an immediate requirement for a Quality & Compliance Officer to join their expanding team.

In this role you will be reporting to and working closely with the Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager and supporting the management in achieving our quality, food safety, compliance and sustainability goals and working as part of the broader Quality Team.

 

Duties Include:

  • Provide site leadership for Food Safety and Quality in alignment with the companies’ policies and procedures
  • Food Safety: Ensure effective food safety compliance and work with plant management team to implement programs to mitigate risk.
  • Support and manage Food Safety and the HACCP program and team, ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices, preventive controls and prerequisite programs are in place and effective.
  • Manage and develop the Internal audit program against BRCGS standards, Bord Bia Standards and DAFM requirements.
  • Effectively manage the food safety and quality system at site which includes HACCP and Food Safety Plan review, Prerequisite Programs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Pest Control, Sanitation, and other programs as required.
  • Manage the TACCP/ VACCP program and the Quality Culture plan.
  • Team supervision working closely with the Quality Supervisor and complimenting the team effort.
  • Quality Improvement: Track and trend agreed upon KPI’s. Support the plant Quality Improvement and Master Plans.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Be proactive and responsive in supporting customer complaints, communicating effectively on technical issues and ensuring the root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
  • Managerial Responsibilities: Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the Quality department, through training, development, communication, and accountability.
  • Technical Skills: Continuously improve knowledge of products and processes.
  • To develop and manage the staff training program in the areas of food safety and standard operating procedures.
  • To be the lead in dealing with third party audits.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, or similar.
  • Relevant experience in food manufacturing with minimum 3 years’ experience in implementing and managing compliance with the BRCGS standard.
  • Knowledge and experience with BRCGS and Bord Bia standards.
  • Strong leadership & people management skills.
  • Experience in dealing with third party audits.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and individually.
