About the Company:

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Quality & Food Safety Specialist to join our client’s team in Co. Armagh who is a leading Food Manufacturing company.

You will report directly to the Food Safety Quality Manager and will be responsible for ensuring all product meets Customer and Company standards for conformance and food safety standards.

In this role you will lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity.

 

Duties Include:

  • Conduct daily Food Safety and Quality Assurance factory inspections.
  • Perform daily product temperature checks to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Complete and maintain daily Quality Assurance retained sample records.
  • Carry out daily checks of out-of-date stock and ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Identify, segregate, and control non-conforming products, including managing on-hold products and extension approvals.
  • Perform daily Critical Control Point (CCP) verification activities.
  • Participate in product taste panels.
  • Conduct Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits.
  • Complete glass and hard plastic audits in line with site procedures.
  • Perform seal integrity checks to verify product packaging is secure and free from leaks or contamination.
  • Complete all assigned weekly Quality Assurance tasks (excluding cooking and cooking verification activities).
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those relating to Food Safety, Health & Safety, Attendance, and other operational requirements.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role as directed by the QA Supervisor.
  • Ensure full compliance with company food safety policies and relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining audit readiness at all times.
  • Promote a culture of integrity, collaboration, and a "do the right thing" approach in all aspects of the role.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures relating to Product Quality, Food Safety, and Food Integrity, as trained.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 1-3 years’ experience within Food Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety principles/GMP
  • Level 2 Food Safety.
  • Level 2 HACCP.
  • Internal Auditor Training.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft package.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on your own and within a team environment.
