About the Company:
Our client based in West Co. Dublin are currently seeking a Technical Officer / Systems Supervisor to join their expanding team.
You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the company's Quality Management and Food Safety Management Systems, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, certification, and internal requirements while supporting operational excellence and business objectives.
Duties Include:
- Administration and control of quality management system documentation.
- Review and update of: Quality Management Manuals, SOPs, Technical procedures, Controlled forms and records.
- Management of document control processes.
- Coordination and maintenance of HACCP plans.
- Coordination of allergen risk assessments and allergen management controls.
- Coordination of traceability exercises and verification activities.
- Monitoring and reporting on food safety culture initiatives.
- Planning and execution of internal audit programmes.
- Coordination of GMP and hygiene inspections.
- Monitoring compliance against customer standards and certification requirements.
- Review and communication of relevant legislative changes affecting the business.
- Administration of supplier approval and re-approval programmes.
- Maintenance of supplier approval files.
- Coordination of supplier performance reviews.
- Maintenance of risk registers where applicable.
- Preparation of weekly quality performance reports.
- Maintenance of quality system metrics and trend analysis.
- Reporting on compliance-related performance indicators.
- Maintenance of rework records and associated reporting.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree or equivalent in Food Science/Technology discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience within a similar role/environment.
- Experience in a Quality role within the food manufacturing industry (supervisory experience preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of quality management techniques such as HACCP.
- Strong interpersonal skills, being both persuasive and assertive.
- Methodical and logical with an ability to provide solutions
- Strong mathematic, written English and IT skills, demonstrable experience of Microsoft applications.
- Highly organised, disciplined, and able to maintain high standards while unsupervised.
- Excellent communication skills.
