Job Title – Quality Assurance Supervisor (Nightshift)

Job Location – Co. Dublin

Salary – €60K - €65K BOE

 

About the Company / Role:

Our client based in Co. Dublin has a current requirement for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join their team. You will be responsible for verifying that the site pre-requisite programme and HACCP system is operated correctly as designed and delivers the required results.

The QA Supervisor role is part of the site technical team, reporting to the site Quality Manager / Technical Services Manager or the equivalent, and partners with the factory facing operational roles to deliver food safety and quality business objectives.

This will be a permanent nightshift role with 2 different working patterns.

 

Roles Include:

  • Plan, co-ordinate, deliver the work of the QA team – in order to deliver the QA verification programme of activities in the factory (i.e. micro sampling, internal auditing, incident management, non-conforming product management etc).
  • Provide day to day food safety and quality support to the factory teams – ensure solid knowledge and understanding of the site standard operating procedures and customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the escalation of any high-risk food safety and quality events on shift or any events with the impact on food safety and quality.
  • Responsible for assessing any factory events / incidents: diligent gathering of factual data, implementation of immediate containment measures where relevant.
  • Ensuring that the QA team is in full possession of the correct food safety and quality KPI data and that the day priority is correctly aligned, aiming at key improvement activities and gaps. Establish effective communication channels with the direct reports and with the other QA shifts.
  • With and through the team responsible for logging, understanding, trending and communicating all the relevant food safety and quality data.
  • Supervise the site preparation for the audits and visits with the QA team, sign off the factory standards in all areas of responsibility and communicate any audit / visit risks in good time for action. Complete traceability exercises.
  • Coordinate QA requirements for product pre pros and launches e.g. update of the required documentation / systems, liaison with NPI team / line support to ensure product is manufactured to correct standard.
  • With the guidance from the site Quality Manager / Technical Services Manager or the equivalent, manage QA activities required to deliver the improvement of the food safety and quality KPIs e.g. audit close outs with verification, investigations, audit of non-conforming processes, complaint investigations, work on and implement specific improvement projects and activities.
  • Actively promote the food safety and quality culture on site – challenge poor performance and guide colleagues to what good looks like.
  • Work with the QA team to ensure the diligent completion of all the QA tasks.

 

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years as a QA in an equivalent factory environment, able to demonstrate learning and growth potential.
  • Degree or equivalent within Food related discipline.
  • Existing Quality Supervisor in an equivalent factory environment.
  • HACCP Training, good understanding of customer codes or practice.
  • Strong ability to supervise a team.
  • Logical and able to process technical detail accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills.
