Job Title – Quality Control / Assurance Officer 

Job Location – Co. Kildare

Salary – €40K - €60k DOE (Day Shift)

 

Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Manufacturing Company based in County Kildare that are currently looking for a Quality Control / Assurance Officer to join their team.

This is an exciting time to join a highly dedicated team of motivated individuals, with a lot happening and an eager attitude for work. The successful candidate should have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, with knowledge of the Food Manufacturing Industry.

You will be reporting to the Technical Manager and oversee the effective delivery of all components of client and company quality systems and procedures with the Quality Team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Project Quality Management systems is fully implemented at all times.
  • To participate and execute internal and external quality audits.
  • Implementation of new Quality systems in line with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Monitoring and measuring all Quality KPI’s.
  • Be accountable for the Quality arrangement and documentation of every activity within the business.
  • Develop and determine all standards to preform inspection and tests on all procedures.
  • To perform final Quality control checks of systems before and after they are used.
  • Perform surveillance checks on all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards.
  • Hold on to and file all certificates and documentation for all inspections, measuring and test equipment.
  • Monitor and close out all non-conformance reports.
  • Adhere to the companies H&S measures and implement them on a day-to-day basis.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3rd Level Qualifications in Food related discipline or 3+ years’ experience as a QA Manager in FMCG Environment.
  • Experience of leading a small to medium sized team, managing staff performance and KPI’s in line with business objectives.
  • HACCP preferred.
  • Highly competent in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • An interest in technical aspects of engineering standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good attention to detail.
