A successful Manufacturing company based in Galway are currently on the lookout for a Quality Engineer who has good knowledge and experience within the industry.

This is a great opportunity to work with world class supplier of high quality, technically complex components and Machinery.

If you have experience in engineering or technical disciplines then this is the role for you.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all products and processes achieve the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels.
  • Defect review, analysis, reporting and improvement both internally and externally.
  • Achieve business targets by coordinating improvement actions and target completion dates with cross functional teams.
  • Develop improvement strategies and plans to reduce non-conforming product within production to achieve targets.
  • Communicate/Train Operators on inspection plans, work instructions and other necessary QMS documentation
  • Support internal Audit Procedures, planning and execution
  • Perform internal quality audits routinely to ensure compliance to control plans and lead close out of all non-conformances.
  • Understand the PPAP Process and demonstrated capability to pull necessary documentation together to supply the end customer.
  • Adhering to all health and safety requirements.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Third Level qualification in an engineering/ technical discipline
  • 2 years’ quality experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, IATF16949
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel and IT Literate
  • Must have experience in a manufacturing and/or Customer-facing environment.
  • Experience in using problem solving techniques as well excellent analytical and problem-solving techniques.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as a team.
