Job Title – Quality Manager

Job Location – Co. Cavan          

Salary – €50K - €65K Based on Experience

 

About the Company:

This is a standalone Quality Manager role and is designed to focus on the company’s internal Quality development, driving quality and process improvements.

You will bridge the gap between management, operations, suppliers, and end-users to ensure all outputs are fit for purpose, safe, and legally compliant

The quality manager focuses on all aspects that may affect product quality including materials, design, process, instruction, training and equipment. The quality manager achieves results through the Quality Process Engineers and Technicians.

 

Duties Include:

  • Plan and execute internal and external audits. Ensure all processes strictly meet national, international, and health/safety legal obligations.
  • Looking after and developing ISO 9001/ FSC and potentially 45001.
  • Assess supplier capabilities, conduct vendor audits, and manage corrective/preventative action (CAPA) processes when raw materials or parts fail to meet specifications.
  • Establish product specifications, define testing methods, and enforce strict pass/fail standards for final products before they reach the market.
  • Gather performance data, perform statistical analysis, and produce clear KPIs and reports for senior management.
  • Lead root-cause investigations into customer complaints, product defects, or process bottlenecks to prevent them from recurring.

Strong communication and influencing skills are critical. Because this is a standalone role, you must be able to drive change and motivate colleagues who do not directly report to you.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Quality Management or Engineering.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Typically, 5+ years in a Quality Assurance or Technical role, with proven experience operating autonomously or leading quality standards.
  • Preferably 2-3 years in a people management role.
  • In depth working knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.
  • Certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or a CQI membership are highly desirable.
  • Proven record of delivering results through collaborative process improvements.
  • Demonstrates full flexibility to undertake occasional travel to customer locations.
