Quality Technologist        Cork

Our prestigious client has a new opening available due to growth and expansion.  As a Quality Technologist, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the business and gain valuable experience in a busy, commercially focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HACCP Team Member: Contribute to our Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) team.
  • Raw Material Specifications: Obtain new raw material specifications from suppliers.
  • Supplier Information Management: Ensure approved supplier information remains up to date.
  • Weekly Taste Panels: Participate in taste panels to assess product quality.
  • GMP Audits: Complete Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits.
  • Quality Attribute Sheets and Training Manuals: Maintain documentation related to quality attributes and training.
  • Internal Auditing Team: Conduct internal audits, address non-conformances, and communicate corrective actions.
  • Third-Party and Customer Audits: Support management during BRC and customer audits.
  • Continual Improvement: Contribute to process, procedure, equipment, and fabrication improvements.
  • Food Safety and Quality Culture: Foster continual development in this area.
  • Traceability Audits: Ensure traceability audits are completed and address any issues.
  • Training Programs: Assist with training program completion.
  • Induction Training: Support induction training.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication across all levels (interpersonal, listening, written, and oral).
  • Analytical Thinking: Problem-solving skills.
  • Trustworthiness and Reliability: Be dependable.
  • Coaching and Training: Ability to guide others.
  • Team Player: Collaborate positively within a team.

  • QA / Technical Experience: 2-3 years in chilled short shelf-life food manufacturing.
  • Food Microbiology and Allergens: Understanding of these areas.
  • Food Labelling Regulations: Strong knowledge of food labelling and information regulations.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Third-Level Qualification or Equivalent in Food Science
  • Level 3 Food Safety
  • BRC Audit Experience
  • Minimum Two Years’ Experience in Food Industry / Manufacturing / Quality Management
