Quantity Surveyor – Civils

INFORM3 Construction Recruitment is delighted to announce a new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor in North Dublin! The company has been operating for close to 30 years and has great reputation within the local construction industry.  Our client has secured a number of new projects leading into 2020, which is why they have the need to expand their commercial team. Working under a Senior Quantity surveyor who has 10 years civil engineering experience, there will be guidance and support which will help the successful applicant settle in with ease to their new company. Duties

  • The role will initially be predominantly focused around the delivery of projects based in Louth / North Dublin
  • Assisting with ensuring robust commercial processes are in place.
  • Assisting with a number of live projects or projects at pre-implementation phase.
  • Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts.
  • Assisting and liaising with the buyers on materials procurement.
  • Measure progress, assist in submitting valuations, final accounts in a timely manner.
  • Attend project and company related meetings.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties assisting other member of the QS team

Key requirements

  • An understanding of Civil Engineering measurement principles
  • Commercial awareness and the willingness to learn / be part of a team.
  • A basic understanding of all main forms of NEC, ICE and JCT contracts.
  • An understanding of general IT systems (Microsoft Office suite, Excel.)
  • An understanding of cost and contract management systems.
