Role: Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 3+ years of post-graduate experience, preferably with a Consultancy background, who will within the QS Team on all costs relating to Building and Civil aspects of various projects including mixed commercial, residential, industrial, and educational, from initial concept design stage estimate to final account settlement.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to optimise project costs, implement value engineering and ensure value for money, while still achieving the required highest standards and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Cost Management, ensuring the project remains in budget
- Prepare tendering projects
- Management of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors
- Preparing interim valuations, identifying and valuing variations
- Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
- Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals and ensure timely completion of jobs
- Manage project performance and report to the management team
Requirements:
- Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
- Highly motivated hard-working individual who can work on their own or as part as a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Great communication skills both verbal and written
- 3+ Years’ experience preferably in consultancy setting but not essential
- Strong construction knowledge and experience in Building and Civil Works Projects
