The construction company has been operating for close to 40 years and has steadily grown through the years to now being an multi award winning Contractor with an excellent reputation for training and development of staff through in-house schemes and professional development. The company successfully delivers projects to the following sectors; Healthcare, Pharma, Residential, Offices and Refurb/Fit-out.  The successful Quantity surveyor will take the lead in a new €10M Residential development starting in the west of the city. Quantity Surveyor Duties

  • Financial management of project valued up to €10M
  • Ensuring project objectives are met and set a change in process where appropriate.
  • Sub-contractor tendering and payments
  • Project valuations upstream and downstream
  • Cost plans / Budget Preparation / Project Bill of Quantities
  • Cost reporting / project reporting internally & externally
  • Final account preparation / negotiation with sub-contractors & clients
  • Interact with the project team to maximise project procurement, production and strategies
  • Ability to form and develop relations with the client, design team and supply chain.

Quantity Surveyor Criteria

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Must have strong measurement and take off skills.
  • Must have strong knowledge of building detail and construction technology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven negotiating ability.
  • Strong IT skills, specifically in excel, cubit and outlook.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of team essential.
  • Experience of managing building contracts.
  • Strong organisation skills to ensure clear and concise reports are maintained throughout assignment.
