Quantity Surveyor – Galway
The Company
A great opportunity in the West of Ireland with a construction and engineering firm running for over 25 years. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to get into a small to medium sized firm and assume a role with sole responsibility for managing and pricing different projects.
This company work over a range of areas including Residential, Fit outs, Education, Civic and Leisure. The projects they work on range between €3 - €10 million.
Responsibilities
- Managing the subcontract procurement process, scope analysis against client specification, tender reconciliation, sub-contractor comparisons, formation or order, review of commercial terms, and contract award.
- Preparing, submitting and negotiations of all monthly sub-contract project interim and final accounts using database software and excel spreadsheets.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date Forecast Final Accounts for presentation to clients on a monthly basis.
- Preparing claims for variations to contract and negotiating with the client and supply chain to deliver profitable change.
- Promote and evolve financial control measures
- Forecast cash flow and margin recognition
- Maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Degree in QS
- At least 4 years’ experience
- Negotiation Skills
- Contract/Commercial appreciation
- Letter and report writing
