Quantity Surveyor – Down
The Company
A Building and Civil Engineering company with offices based in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have an opening for a Quantity Surveyor. Their projects include full range of construction services, and can be anything up to €30 million. You would report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and have the support of a team of Quantity Surveyor’s.
Responsibilities
- Issuing subcontractor enquiries and then generating comparisons for review by Directors
- Preparing progress applications and cost reports
- Reporting to management on the financial progression of projects
- Responsible for project cost controls
- Actively work with Project Managers relating to contract variations
- Final Account negotiations etc
Requirements
- 3rd level Qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction economics
- 3+ years’ experience with a main contractor
- Strong operational skills
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills essential
