The Company
Leading contractor in the West of Ireland looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team. This contractor does both civils and building and works across a diverse portfolio including commercial, residential, education, retail. Their civils projects range from €100k to €20 million. Having won awards previously they have embossed an impressive reputation for themselves for their deliverance and high spec to which projects are completed. As their new quantity surveyor you will be working on residential projects to the value of €2.4 million.
The Role
- Responsible for pricing tender opportunities
- Analyse drawings, specifications, client pricing documentation and other documentation for inclusion in the BoQ.
- Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure that cost planning and estimating are accurate
- Prepare accurate costings for the works.
- Detailed analysis of subcontractors’ and direct labour analysis
- preparation of plant & material schedules and risk assessment
- Carry out measurement and take-offs, pricing and entering the system
- Visit sites, log changes and agree.
Criteria:
- Degree qualified in QS
- 5 + years’ experience
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and PDF management.
- Proficient in pricing and quantification methods.
