Quantity Surveyor West Dublin €70-90K
A highly successful contractor based in West Dublin is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with an Electrical bias to join their expanding team.
The role is to obtain and evaluate information to ensure a competitive cost of supply regarding electrical labour, goods and materials. The individual will have to support the preparation, negotiation and analysis of costs for tenders and contracts.
Responsibilities of an Electrical Quantity Surveyor:
- Estimating and cost planning, in relation to electrical requirements within a project.
- Tender documentation, preparation and reporting.
- Management and control of financial matters in relation to the electrical side.
- Procurement and management of electrical materials and suppliers.
- Cost control of electrically related projects.
- Submission of accurate and timely payment applications.
- Meet clients and attend project meetings to review and discuss work carried out.
- Ability to identify areas of overspend, waste and commercial risk.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Relevant Quantity Surveying certification
- 4+ years in a similar role in the construction industry, ideally within the Electrical Sector
- Ability to communicate strongly and form good working relationships.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Work in an assertive manner.
- Be a strong negotiator.
- Have a logical approach to prioritising tasks.
- Have good organisational skills.
- Have good numeric skills.
