Our client is a leading PQS practice with a reputation for quality professionalism and due to an increase in workload they require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their busy team. They have a wide project portfolio which includes a range of residential, mixed-use and commercial projects.
Job responsibilities:
Duties:
- Estimate materials
- Keep track of changes to design or construction work
- Measure and value of the work produced
- Understanding of estimating budgets
- Prepare contract documents like bills of quantities etc
- Dealing/liaising with clients, architects and anyone else involved in the process
- Negotiation and analysis of costs for tenders/contracts
Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
- 4 years + post graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor, some of which must have been gained in a consultancy environment
- Good contractual knowledge and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively utilise a range of technology platforms
- Be fully conversant with the use of the Standard Method of Measurement
- Effective time management, organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
