Quantity Surveyor County Down £30-45k
INFORM3 are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for our client based in County Down.
You will be working on a diverse portfolio of projects and be working within a team responsible for commercial aspects from receipt of order to final account stage, offering expert advice on cost management and contractual matters.
The successful candidate will be able to split their time working from the office and working from home if preferred.
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce project cost plans, cost reports, tender documentation and contracts.
- Advise on selection and form of tender
- Identify, assess and plan to mitigate against commercial risks
- Carry out monthly project valuations
- Manage the close of completed projects to the best commercial advantage
- Subcontract package works including preparation of subcontract agreements
- Negotiation with supply chain to ensure best value
- Contract administration, sub-contract appointments, valuations and invoicing
- Stakeholder management Pre & Post tender
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Quantity Surveying Degree or similar
- 3+ years experience in the construction sector, ideally with M&E experience
- Strong knowledge of construction processes
- Knowledge and firm understanding of health and safety regulations
- Analytical approach to estimating and pricing
- Commercially aware
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a collective to deliver
