Quantity Surveyor -Newry
The Company
Specialist subcontractor working in the UK, NI and ROI are looking for a Quantity Surveyor. You will be joining a small contractor with projects up the value of around £1 million, however you will undertake the full commercial responsibility of these projects. This is a stand alone role, you will be required to work full time and possibly small amount of travel once a month to England. This role will also entail some estimating duties.
The Role
- Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects
- Negotiation of subcontract packages
- Cash flow forecasting, cost planning
- Validation of contracts
- Preparing valuations
- Agreeing and resolve final accounts
- Estimating Duties
What you need
- Degree in QS/relevant discipline
- 4+ years’ experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to self-prioritise workload
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Understanding of JCP & MEC Contracts
- At least 2 years’ experience main contracting
- Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Packages.
