Quantity Surveyor – Down - flexible working option
The Company
Small established consultants with a wealth of surveying experience, excellent network of clients, impressive jobs in both NI and ROI are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to become an integral member of their commercial delivery team.This role would be a new challenge for an experience individual, looking someone ambitious, hardworking, ability to identify and develop business. Specifically, you will need experience working with a PQS, and ideally experience with public contracts work in ROI.There is complete flexibility where you work from.
The Role
- Cost Planning, feasibility studies, cost value benefit analysis
- Compiling Bill of Quantities, tender documentation, construction forecast and budgets.
- Contract Engagement- compiling and reviewing contract documents
- Identifying key risks
- Lead in Negotiating
- Estimating
- Montior/Forecast budget
- Monthly valuations
- Advice on Contractual Disputes
- Communication /attending meetings with client
Requirements
- Degree in QS or similar discipline
- Experience working within PQS background
- Experience with Bill of Quantities
- Ability to develop rapport with existing and new clients
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Familiar with construction contracts and processes
