Quantity Surveyor – (Office/WFH/Site based)

The Company
Due to continued development and expansion, our client has opportunities in their team for dynamic skilled quantity surveyors who wish to strengthen and further their career.
Role Summary
- Negotiate with suppliers and building strong robust, long-term relationships
- Produce, understand and maintain procurement schedules, raising Purchase Orders
- Support the site teams by ensuring materials are provided to the specification and programme for the project and contingencies in place where over runs occur
- Reporting monthly on costs, overruns, & predicted increases
- Being proactive with suppliers, subcontractors on price increases, material availability, delivery logistics, etc.
What you need
- Third level Degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying or similar
- Minimum of 4+ years QS experience
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience with a Main Contractor
- Ability to QS / Price projects / deal with interim payments / valuations / negotiation with sub-contractors / agree final accounts
- Knowledge of varying Irish Forms of Contracts and Contract Procedures and Protocol
- Competent in all forms of surveying packages, Microsoft Excel, Buildsoft, etc. (Strongly computer literate – Cubit an advantage)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills dealing with design team / client/ meetings etc.
- Previous experience working on high quality medium - large-scale Public and Private contracts in various sectors: - Industrial / Health / Pharma / Commercial / Education.
