Job Title – Quantity Surveyor

Salary - €55K - €75K + Package
About the Company
My client is a well-established Main Building Contractor with a reputation for delivering high standard projects across the Cork Region.
They have a requirement for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in General Building/ Contracting to join a €15M+ commercial project in Cork.
The successful applicant will be working on a new development with an experienced team - excellent company structure to allow for support and progression.
This role will be full time/ permanent role covering commercial and residential projects in future.
The Role
- Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
- Ensure sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems
- Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation
- Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments
- Re-measurement of Bills of Quantities
- Carrying out Material Take-offs
- Preparation of Interim valuations and final account
- Managing and valuing variations
- Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself
What You Need
- Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction management.
- 5+ years’ experience with a Building Contractor in ROI or NI.
- Ideally will have knowledge and experience with Public Works Contracts
- Proven record of working on projects valued over €10M
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
- Driven Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
