Quantity Surveyor - Tyrone

Quantity Surveyor            Coalisland          £40 – 55k

Due to continued growth, INFORM3 Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Coalisland. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional to work on a range of construction projects while playing a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on budget and provide maximum value.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and senior management.

This role would suit a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills, looking to progress within a well-established and growing construction business.

Main Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of quantity surveying and commercial duties across assigned projects
• Prepare and manage project budget estimates and cost plans
• Produce accurate bills of quantities and tender documentation
• Monitor project costs and ensure budgets are effectively controlled throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare, assess and negotiate subcontractor packages and payments
• Produce monthly valuations, cost reports and final accounts
• Prepare and manage costs relating to project variations and change orders
• Ensure the timely submission of all commercial and contractual documentation
• Work closely with the Construction Manager and wider project team to support project delivery
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance standards
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction contracts and industry regulations

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction sector
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline, or equivalent vocational qualification
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong organisational and workload management abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software packages
