Quantity Surveyor – Co Monaghan
A Quantity Surveyor vacancy has become available with a Fit Out Contractor based in Co Monaghan.
They are a versatile construction and fit out company, completing specialist and bespoke high-end fit outs in Ireland, alongside comprehensive construction and refurbishment service within the retail, leisure, healthcare and education sectors.
They require an Junior QS/ Quantity Surveyor, with a commercial background and the ability and want to manage multiple refurbishment, interior fit out and strip out projects ranging from £500k up to £3.5 million.
You will work from both head office and site, managing accounts from a commercial viewpoint, conducting client and sub-contract meetings whilst building tender prices. This role requires you to drive to sites, therefore it is paramount you hold a full driving licence.
The successful candidate will ideally be HNC qualified or higher, and have a minimum of 1 years’ experience or placement in a similar role with some knowledge of estimating and pricing tenders, remaining compliant with Health and Safety regulations whilst working in-line with company procedures, maintaining communication with the commercial team to ensure quotes are accurate.

Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience and knowledge in Quantity Surveying and Estimation;
- Produce tenders/quotes;
- Good understanding of commercial management of building works;
- Good numerical, IT and software skills;
- HNC or higher relevant qualification;
- Full Driving Licence;
- Locally based.
Desired:
- Previous work within the fit out sector;
- Knowledge of working on schedule of rates.
Hours
The hours for this role are full-time, Monday to Friday with an early finish Friday
