R&D Engineer                      Lisburn                          £35-45K DOE

A market-leader company in Manufacturing Industry is looking for an experienced R&D Engineer to join their growing company team based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. On top of an excellent salary, the company also offer an excellent benefit package as well as healthcare and pension plan.

This is an excellent opportunity to be responsible for the design and development and work closely with the Engineering Team. You will report to the Design and Development Director and will have responsibility for the provision of design and development support to the Company, from design conception stage through to final production.

Duties of the Role Include:

• Bringing an idea or concept to realisation through research and feasibility.
• Developing component specifications, inspection methods, bills of materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Designing for manufacture techniques that allow efficient product assembly.
• Designing and developing test methods to ensure prototypes and products are accurate.
• Bringing products to market by aiding in Regulatory submissions.
• Responsible for design conception stage through to final production.

Essential Criteria Required:

• 2+ years’ experience working within a similar environment.
• Proven experience as a R&D Engineer.
• Qualified to degree level in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of ProEngineer
• Experience managing suppliers in high volume production.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work on your own or in a team environment.
