R&D Engineer - Tyrone

R&D Engineer   Omagh                 £45k

A world-renowned manufacturer of industrial equipment in Omagh is recruiting for an R&D Engineer to plan, organise and direct projects from concept through to commissioning stages. They are also responsible for ensuring that work meets established internal quality standards as well as customer specifications.

This is an excellent role for an experienced R&D Engineer in the aggregate industry.

Core responsibilities

• Development of equipment
• Analysis of design and mechanical systems of current equipment
• Development of manufacturing drawings
• Creating and maintaining 3D model and 2D drawings of products for presentation, manufacture, marketing and aftermarket.
• Prototype work including testing and fitting
• Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems to make recommendations for corrective action and implements

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years’ experience in aggregate industry
• 3D & 2D CAD experience
• High attention to detail
• Financial and budgetary planning experience
• High IT Skills
