R&D Manager - Tyrone

R&D Manager   Omagh                 £45-60k

A world-renowned manufacturer of industrial equipment in Omagh is recruiting for an R&D Manager to lead a design engineering team to deliver the R&D Strategy for the company while guiding and develop the team members.

This is an excellent role for an experienced R&D Manager familiar with concept design through to final product manufacturing, ideally from the aggregate industry, with proven experience leading a team and new product development.

Core responsibilities

• Identify key areas of product development
• Understanding of industry products and identify gaps in the market
• Develop product design specifications
• Perform cost feasibility analysis, risk analysis and benchmarking
• Responsible for design, verify and release of new designs
• Carry out critical stress analysis
• People management and development
• Observe all legislated H&S regulations

Requirements

• BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in aggregate industry
• 3D & 2D CAD experience
• Proven design & new product design experience in aggregate industry
• Project management Skills
• High attention to detail
• Financial and budgetary planning experience
• High IT Skills
