A leading Manufacturing Company currently have a great opportunity for a Safety Engineer/Advisor within their business. The role provides a chance to join an expanding team and develop within the company’s program.

Job Description

As a Safety Engineer/Advisor, you will support the Health and Safety Manager to ensure the Engineering and Manufacturing of company projects are maintained.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming health and safety legislation and ensure that the company’s systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance and other requirements.
  • Ensure working conditions of the company are favourable and safe.
  • Efficient management of resources allocated to the projects working on.
  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance throughout the business.
  • Coordinate work systems to ensure the companies projects are meeting the highest quality standards.
  • Lead the delivery of the business’s Safety strategy, ensuring it achieves and exceeds objectives and targets while maintaining a high level of performance and employee engagement throughout the company.
  • Ensure that risk assessments and incident management systems are in place and followed across the organisation.
  • Ensure there is a clear line of communication between departments in terms of the Health and Safety standards set. 

Experience and Knowledge:

The successful individual should hold a degree level/ HND/HNC qualification in a relevant field with a good level of experience working for at least 2-3 years in a similar role. A good understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing is necessary.

Skills for the Role:

  • Be a skilled communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Hold good influencing skills to enable successful interaction with all involved parties.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to organise a heavy work load.
  • Well organised and detail conscious.
