Section and Site Engineers – Essex
INFORM3 are seeking to appoint Section and Site Engineers, for a large road project in Essex. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a fantastic Northern Irish Contractor that has excellent opportunities for candidates to progress within the company. The client is seeking Section and Site Engineers with previous experience in working on civil projects involving earthworks, utilities, groundworks, foundations etc.
The contractor is seeking candidates with Civil backgrounds, knowledge of setting out, ordering materials and supervising site works.
Site and Section Engineers Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Project Manager
- Check Site Drawings and Specifications
- Complete setting out of the site
- Supervise site works, providing direction to the various site teams
- Be on hand to resolve any technical queries
- Coordinate Plant and Machinery
- Check resources such as Materials, ensuring the site staff have enough materials to complete the project and order when necessary
- Encourage and motivate staff to achieve targets and deadlines
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
- Complete all site work to a high level of quality
- Coordinate Toolbox talks
- Attend Site Meetings, contributing technically when appropriate
- Complete the site diary regularly
- Manage traffic on site
- Liaise with Clients / Consultancies / Public when appropriate
- Attend Site Management meetings
Site and Section Engineers Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Civil Engineer Degree
- 1-4 years plus experience in a similar role
- Self-Starter
- Confident Communicator
- Able to multi-task
- Experience in working on groundworks, earthworks, utilities etc
- Confident in using Microsoft Office
- Full Driving license
