Job Description:
In the role of Section Foreman, you will be a pivotal player in our ambitious multi-million euro apartment new build project in North Dublin. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing and orchestrating the operations within a specific section of the construction site. It will be your responsibility to ensure that work proceeds according to schedule, budget, and in full compliance with stringent safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume leadership and supervision of a team comprising construction workers and subcontractors assigned to your designated section.
- Orchestrating daily activities to ensure alignment with the project timetable.
- Vigilantly monitor and enforce safety protocols and quality standards to perpetuate a secure and efficient working environment.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to meticulously plan and schedule work tasks.
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality control examinations.
- Efficiently manage resources, encompassing materials and equipment, to optimize productivity.
- Foster transparent and effective communication with the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Address and resolve issues or conflicts as they arise within the construction site context.
- Maintain meticulous records of daily activities, including progress reports, site logs, and safety documentation.
- Contribute to the training and development of construction personnel.
Qualifications:
- A demonstrable track record as a Foreman or a similar position within the construction industry.
- Profound knowledge of construction methods, processes, and safety regulations.
- Superb leadership and communication competencies.
- Proficiency in deciphering and interpreting construction plans and drawings.
- Familiarity with construction management software is advantageous.
- Possession of valid construction-related certifications or licenses is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, coupled with the capability to make decisive judgments under pressure.
