INFORM3 are seeking to appoint a Senior Civil Design Engineer based in South Down with hybrid options for civils projects in Ireland/UK.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of residential, commercial and petroleum projects ranging from £3m to £30m.

The client is seeking candidates with an in-depth knowledge in civils and who is able to take on responsibility and work off their own initiative in a busy working environment.

 

Senior Civil Design Engineer Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate would be working as part of a team in the areas of:

  • Design of infrastructure including SuDS Drainage / Storm water, Foul Water and Access Roads and utilities.
  • Responsible for developing the design from initial concept to site supervision.
  • Working as part and leading a design team.
  • Supervising the preparation & Implementation of drawings and documents for projects;
  • Attending & Liaising with Clients, Contractors, Consultants and all relevant stakeholders;
  • Monitoring of project scoping, budgets, monthly operating plans and resource allocation;
  • Carry out Inspecting and supervising on site works.

 

Senior Civil Design Engineer Job Specification:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience within consulting engineers or equivalent
  • You will hold a degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Willing to work on a variety of civil projects across Ireland and the UK.
  • Design experience of Water Sector, Infrastructure, Energy, Commercial, Institutional, Educational, Residential and light & heavy Industrial Structures;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and achieve tight deadlines and communicate effectively;
  • Strong knowledge of current codes of practice, building control regulations and procedures;
  • Capable of supervising technicians in the production of drawings and information.
  • Report writing;
  • Knowledge of management processes;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
