Senior Design Engineer                                Co. Down                     £35-45K

A leading Manufacturing company located in County Down are currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join their ever-expanding team which is easily commutable from Lisburn, Belfast and Downpatrick and

The successful candidates will play a key role in the design and development of company projects where you will be tasked with providing effective and innovative product and project design solutions to ensure the company remain a market leader within the industries, they work in.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all drawings and designs meet company standards.
• Support specific projects ensuring timescales and budget requirements are achieved.
• Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives.
• Liaise with key stakeholders in order to set and measure KPI’s.
• Design manufacturing equipment and projects for company clients.
• Liaising with clients and other functional workplace departments to ensure intent is met and drawing approval is achieved as efficiently as possible.
• Relay information about the status of the project with the senior design team and the project managers.
• Support the sales team and project management with all customer activities.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.

The successful individual should have a degree/HND/HNC level of qualification relevant to the role. They should have relevant experience in a similar role, ideally designing manufacturing projects.

Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years’ experience OR Degree Equivalent in Engineering.
• Understanding of Mechanical systems in manufacturing industry.
• Experience and knowledge of 3D CAD.
• Knowledge of production of BOM.
• Organised and efficient.
• Ability to work well and contribute within a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Be proactive and positive in work.
