Senior Design Engineer                Co. Tyrone                 £35-45K DOE

A leading employer based in County Tyrone are currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer who will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and will a vital role in ensuring the company continues to design and develop innovative and leading equipment within the Heavy Industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• To work with and report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Design team on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the relevant work is to the company requirements.
• Provide engineering supervision of operational decommissioning activities, ensuring compliance with design intent.
• To conduct production project reports and any other relevant information that is substantial to the management team in regards to operational planning.
• Communicate effectively with the other manufacturing departments that are important to the Engineering Design.
• Help resolve any quality design issues that may appear and find a solution.
• Maintain and regularly document any information accordingly and to check and approve all design drawings.
• To communicate effectively with other work colleagues to help support the production and help with engineering information.
• To implement all Health & Safety Regulations of the company’s policy.
• To help develop and train other Design Engineers.

Essential:

• 5+ years’ experience in Mechanical Design Engineer within Manufacturing Industry.
• Knowledge and experience of using 3D CAD Package (SolidWorks) with experience of FEA (SolidWorks Simulation).
• Experience of designing steel structures, mechanical assemblies and systems.
• Understanding of electrical control systems desirable.
• Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication skills.
• MS Office efficient.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as a team.
