Senior Engineer / Site Agent

INFORM3 are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Site Agent is responsible for the day-to-day management and technical delivery of road infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
The role involves coordinating site operations, managing engineering teams and subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Senior Engineer / Site Agent Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of road and civil engineering works in accordance with programme, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all site activities to ensure efficient project execution.
- Lead and mentor Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers, Forepersons, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality management procedures.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and risk assessments prior to commencement of works.
- Oversee setting out, surveying, and technical support to construction teams.
- Monitor project progress, identify programme risks, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to maximise productivity.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, inspections, quality documentation, and as-built information.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, utility providers, local authorities, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with contract specifications and industry standards.
- Assist in the management of project costs, variations, procurement, and resource planning.
- Chair and attend site coordination meetings and contribute to project reporting.
- Ensure inspections, testing, and quality assurance processes are completed and documented.
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice throughout project delivery.
- Support the successful completion and handover of the project, including final documentation and close-out activities.
Senior Engineer / Site Agent Specification:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in civil engineering, with significant experience on road or infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to manage engineering teams and coordinate multiple work fronts.
- Strong knowledge of road construction, earthworks, drainage, pavements, utilities, reinforced concrete, and traffic management.
- Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements within the construction industry.
- Excellent planning, organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors, resolve technical issues, and deliver projects to programme.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and engineering reporting systems.
- Full clean driving licence.
