Senior Engineer – Birmingham
INFORM3 are recruiting a Senior Engineer to join a Civil Engineering Contractor working on a large railway project in Birmingham. It is of great importance that the candidate has experience in setting out, site supervision and coordinating Junior Engineers. The candidate should have a wide range of experience working on projects including utilities, earthworks, roads, railways etc.
Senior Engineer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Project Manager
- Review Site Drawings and Specifications
- Supervise and Mentor Junior Engineers
- Coordinate Site teams, providing assistance with structural and technical issues
- Regularly check quality standards, ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Coordinate Plant, Machinery and Equipment
- Order in materials
- Manage traffic on and off site
- Adhere to Health & Safety at all times
- Ensure waste is appropriately removed from site
- Attend Site Meetings
- Liaise with Clients / Consultancies / Public when appropriate
Senior Engineer Specification:
- Civil Engineer Degree
- 4 plus years’ experience
- Experience in managing Junior Engineers
- Previous experience working on a variety of civil projects
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Full driving licence
