Job Title – Senior Engineer
Project – Commercial Project
Job Location – Kilkenny
Salary – €55,000 - €65,000 + package
About the Company
Working with a progressive and forward-thinking Main Building Contractor on an exciting new development in Co. Kilkenny.
This project is just starting with a minimum of 24 months run time. Involves aspects of RC, Precast and steel frame which requires a senior engineer who has experience in technical projects.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead and motivate staff while supporting the Project Manager to ensure the project is completed to a high standard, on time and in budget.
The Role
- Monitoring works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
- Work with design team to identify any issues that may arise and help deal with them in a timely manner.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in in the planning and construction of the project.
- Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
- Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
- Manage a team of engineers to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
- Lead and motivate a team of staff to ensure productivity levels on site are high.
- Supervise works.
Requirements
- A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior role with a main contractor in Ireland.
- Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
- Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
