The Company

Contractor in Dublin looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team! This reputable contractor has an array of impressive clients and works on multi million euro projects in Ireland and overseas. This role will be for an Estimator with at least 10 +years’ experience, to join the commercial team and take the lead of tendering and winning new jobs. There will be flexibility on working from home, and extremely competitive salary. This opportunity is perfect for an Estimator working in Construction area with experience working with main contractor.

The Role

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
• Liaise with and manage the internal and external tender team
• Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary
• Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and liaise with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings
• Review supply chain performance quarterly
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews
• Visit sites to obtain feedback
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies and liaise with Clients

What you need

• Third Level Qualification
• 10+ years’ estimating experience
• Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Verbal
• Excellent Negotiator
• Experience and knowledge of construction industry
• Proficient in Microsoft and Excel.
