Senior Estimator - Dublin

Job Title – Senior Estimator

Salary – €70K - €80K + with package  

About the Company

Fantastic Opportunity to work with a reputable Main Contractor who have a number of large commercial, fit out and refurbishment projects across the Dublin area.

They have secured multiple new projects for 2024 and now have an opportunity for a Senior Estimator to lead and manage tenders. You will manage the end-to-end tender process on projects up to the value of €60 million, so this role will require someone with strong communicative skills, an excellent team work ethic.

The Role

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
• Lead part of commercial team
• Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary
• Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and liaise with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings
• Review supply chain performance quarterly
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews
• Visit sites to obtain feedback
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies and liaise with Clients

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar (Third level qualification) is essential.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience working with a Main Contractor in Ireland.  
• Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Verbal
• Excellent Negotiator
• Experience and knowledge of construction industry
• Proficient in Microsoft and Excel.
