Senior Health & Safety Officer – NI with Travel

 

INFORM3 are looking to appoint a Senior Health & Safety Officer for projects based in NI, and travel to ROI, England and Scotland. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a client that is well known throughout the Building Industry. The client is renowned for their high-quality workmanship and extremely organised approach to each project that they work on.

The client is seeking a candidate with excellent knowledge and experience of Health, Safety & the Environment on construction sites. The successful candidate will need to be up to date on current Health & Safety legislations and procedures.

The successful candidate will be required to visit sites and will need to be flexible in travel.

 

Senior Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Senior Management Team and the Health & Safety Manager on all Health, Safety and Environmental matters
  • Manage the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that all plans for site work are continuously developed to current legislations
  • Promote Health & Safety throughout site
  • Conduct Site Inspections, Risk Assessments and Audits
  • Conduct Health & Safety briefings
  • Complete Site Paperwork and Reports, ensuring they are processed to meetings
  • Manage Junior Health & Safety members, ensuring they are clear on their tasks and duties
  • Ensure that any incidents on site are reported and procedures are put in place to avoid future occurrences
  • Prepare and coordinate training for all employees
  • Maintain extremely high standards of Health and Safety
  • Complete any other duties as and when required

 

Senior Health & Safety Officer Specification:

  • Health and Safety Degree or Qualification
  • 4 years’ plus experience in a similar position
  • Able to motivate and manage Junior members
  • Excellent communicator
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full driving licence
