Senior Manufacturing Engineer                Co. Galway

A leading Medical Device Company based in Co. Galway are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their ever-expanding business.

They require an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical support to all Manufacturing Engineering activities, integration of new employees into the manufacturing operations function and be responsible for providing training in the workplace.

The role offers the chance to join a great team with high ambitions. The successful candidate will be presented with the opportunity to work on new and innovative developments and products and grow with the company as it continually progresses through the industry.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing new processes to introduce efficiencies and enable continuous flow of product.
  • Designing and introducing new machine technologies.
  • To work with the Training & Development Specialist and Operations team to design, develop and deliver skills development programs to the manufacturing operations team.
  • Supporting day-to-day manufacturing, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and maintained and investigating any non-conformance and compliance issues using problem-solving tools.
  • To ensure the smoot operating of new products in a high-volume environment.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in correct working order and that is it being used to certain requirements.
  • Document all relevant information that is requirement.
  • Create training profiles for new team members.
  • Maintain training records for all Production Operators and Material Handlers.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas for the skills training centre.

Experienced Required:

  • Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/Biomedical.
  • 3+ years’ experience as an engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of implementing and delivering medical device operations training.
  • Self-motivated with excellent customer service and strong working/team building relationship skills.
  • Experience of validation techniques and applications.
  • Proficiency in training, demonstration models, e-learning tools is desirable
  • Ability to learn and develop on the job.
  • Hard working and excellent attitude. 
  • Excellent communication skills
