Salary – €45K - £55K BOE

A successful Manufacturing company based in County Monaghan are currently on the lookout for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who has a good knowledge and experience within the industry to join their team.

If you have experience in the Manufacturing industry as an Engineer and are involved in transforming and implementing manufacturing processes, then this is the role for you.

Duties Include:

  • Applying engineering principals to solve complex problems with little or no guidance, identifying and working through multi-disciplinary complex technical problems independently.
  • Develop new designs from initial concept to implementation and improve existing designs.
  • Work with sales team to visit customer sites to confirm customers equipment requirements.
  • Implementation and maintenance of Lean systems for production process.
  • Work closely with our production team during the manufacturing process.
  • Creation of SOP’s and production tutorials
  • Document designs with solid part models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in Autodesk inventor.
  • Verify designs using traditional analytical methods in conjunction with dynamic and finite element analysis software.
  • Asses and implement continuous improvement for production process.
  • Create and maintain complete machine product structures including bills of materials, Models and Options, and service parts information.
  • Advise sales partners on after sales service of equipment and offer maintenance training.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in machine design or related industry.
  • Strong orientation towards safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient with solid modelling (Autodesk inventor preferred) and PC skills including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to effectively lead project teams and utilize resources to produce optimal results.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Design, Hydraulic Systems, or Electrical Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects; can develop project schedules and execute to plan.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
