Senior Moulding Engineer                   Co. Roscommon           €60-70K

A successful Manufacturing Company based in County Roscommon are currently on the lookout for a Senior Moulding Engineer who will work with the Engineering and Technicians to develop new products and optimise the moulding processes within the company.

The successful candidate will have a strong injection moulding background encompassing injection mould setting as well as scientific injection moulding.

You will be responsible for optimising the injection moulding process, operating various injection mould machines and carrying out maintenance and fault finding on the machines when required.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

• As a Senior Moulding Engineer, you will be required to support the validation of new and modified tooling and processes.
• To provide process improvements and fault identification/correction to production.
• Be able to lead tool trials, cycle time improvements & scrap reduction.
• Lead decisions on mould design and steel adjustments to meet tight tolerances.
• Ensure PMs are performed on all tools.
• To work with the quality team to ensure manufactured product comply with specifications.
• Improve the efficiency of the injection moulding department.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, vendors and internal teams as required.
• Generate project timelines and ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
• Research and introduce new moulding technical concepts to the company as appropriate.

Essential Criteria:

• 3+ years’ experience or Degree Equivalent in an Engineering Discipline (Level7/8).
• Experience working within a Medical/Pharma industry with knowledge of process validations.
• Lean and six sigma knowledge.
• Strong process engineering background.
• New product introduction experience.
• Ability to work within a team environment and within different departments.
• Excellent communication skills.
