Senior Quantity Surveyor (PQS) Belfast/Hybrid £45-55k
Our client is one of the biggest names within the industry and work across a range of sectors globally including Commercial, Health, Education, Hotels and Residential.
Due to their ambitious growth plans they are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Belfast office. You will be taking a senior role working on some of client’s flagship projects from project inception to completion, and taking an active role developing and supporting the junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage quantity surveying projects, providing expert guidance and oversight.
- Conduct cost estimates, budget preparations, and meticulous cost control throughout project lifecycles.
- Analyse project data and generate insightful reports for clients.
- Negotiate contracts, manage contractors/sub-contractor relationships and work performance to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Manage variations, change orders, and claims to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
- Monitor project budgets and provide accurate forecasts to ensure financial targets are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and designers to ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising quality.
- Provide financial advice and support to project teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying and ideally be a full member of the RICS
- Have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on the Consultancy / PQS side
- Proven track record of managing project costs and delivering within budget on high-value projects.
- Experience in preparing and managing tender documents, contracts, and subcontracts.
- Have good communication and client facing skills
