An extremely reputable construction company in Kildare are looking for a well experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join their commercial team and assist them on their current and upcoming projects!

The role is based in their office in Maynooth, so an excellent opportunity to get working closer to home for the right candidate!

The Role

• Purchase goods, materials and components in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
• Negotiate agreements and prices with suppliers
• Ability to gather and analyse data and work with figures
• Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers
• Excellence negotiation and networking skills
• Demonstrate cost savings on major spends
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Manage company internal purchasing system in line with company policy, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
• Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials, and advise others of any impact
• Forecast price trends and their impact
• Explore alternative sources for goods and materials

What you need

• 10+ years’ experience in a similar role in construction procurement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Great communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
• Excellent negotiation and organisational Skills
• Ability to prioritise important tasks
