The Company
Family run company currently on the lookout for someone to manage their civils projects and work closely with senior management. They have plenty of work on at the moment and operate in a number of area’s including Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Healthcare and General building. They offer many different services including Shotcreting, Guniting, Pressure Grouting, Pressure pointing, Rock anchoring, Rock bolting, Soil Nailing, Piling, and Heritage and Conservation works.

The Role
- Liaise with customers and project managers
- Management of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors
- Prepare tendering projects
- Preparing interim valuations, identifying and valuing variations
- Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
- Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of jobs
- Assess subcontractor payment entitlement and process payments
- Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office and the site, carrying out other duties as required
- Manage project performance and report to management team
- Ensuring accurate reporting
- Carry out reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to keep the management team informed of project performance
What you need
- Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
- Motivated, driven and works well within team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word
- 5+ years civils experience
