Senior Quantity Surveyor- Limerick /Scotland
The Company
Global Civil Engineering company with projects across Ireland and the UK are seeking a Senior QS to run project over in Scotland. You will be required to regularly travel to Scotland and then remote working. This company is renowned for its investment in their staff, their low turnover of staff speaks volumes around the ethos and culture of the company. You will be entering into a company that has structure, teams working collaboratively together and they encourage the continual development of all staff.
The Role
- Reviewing contracts
- Procurement activity and contract support
- Reviewing and commercial management of projects to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- Identify, analyse and report on trends within the business and projects
- Forecasting and management of cash flow
- Providing data and analysis of issues/risk
- Manage subcontractor accounts and valuations.
- Monitoring projects through design stage
- Proactive engagement with project manager
- Cost control
- Regular travel to Scotland to sites.
What you need
- Third level qualification in QS or Construction management.
- 8+ years’ experience
- Background in Civil Engineering/Drainage/Groundwork Background.
- Cost management & administration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Previous people management experience required.
