Senior Quantity Surveyor- Fermanagh
The Company
This is a small family run civils business, dealing in Utilities and Pipelaying, they are experiencing a high volume of work and are in a position to bring on a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
You will be based both in the office and on site, establishing effective working relationships with site staff and clients. You will be joining a fast paced environment, but you will take a leading role overseeing all the commercial aspects of the business and provided with autonomy to manage your own workload.
The Role
- Attend and chair all required meetings, both supply chain and internal stakeholders
- Cost management, planning, forecasting, estimation and reporting
- Feasibility studies/Cost benefit analysis
- Reporting and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.)
- Risk management
- Producing, reviewing and approving Contractor Payment Applications
- Managing and approving change control (EWNs and CEs)
- Monitoring and managing street civils costs
- Managing and administering Contract Management Systems including reporting
- Task Order Issuing and management
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself
What you need
- Degree in QS or relevant field
- 7+years’ experience (preferably in civils.)
- Contract Management System experience
- Industry knowledge and understanding
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
- Driven Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
