Senior Quantity Surveyor- Cork
The Company
Building and Civils Contractor based in Co Cork are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. This award-winning contractor works in both building and civils across residential, commercial, industrial multimillion-euro projects.
You will be both site and office based, reporting into the Commercial Director, whilst guiding and mentoring the Junior Surveyors.
The Role
- Attend and chair all required meetings, both supply chain and internal stakeholders
- Cost management, planning, forecasting, estimation and reporting
- Feasibility studies/Cost benefit analysis
- Reporting and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.)
- Risk management
- Producing, reviewing and approving Contractor Payment Applications
- Managing and approving change control (EWNs and CEs)
- Managing and administering Contract Management Systems including reporting
- Task Order Issuing and management
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself
What you need
- Degree in QS or relevant field
- 10 +years’ experience.
- Industry knowledge and understanding
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
- Driven Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
