Senior Quantity Surveyor- Dromore
The Company
A Civils’ contractor based in Co Down, are on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to head up the civils department. Working across the North and South of Ireland on all civils projects including drainage, landfill, specialist site development, and roadworks. You will have the opportunity to utilise your experience in developing the role and the team and assist the Managing Director in the growth of the business.
The Role
- Attend and chair all required meetings, both supply chain and internal stakeholders
- Cost management, planning, forecasting, estimation and reporting
- Feasibility studies/Cost benefit analysis
- Reporting and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.)
- Risk management
- Producing, reviewing and approving Contractor Payment Applications
- Managing and approving change control (EWNs and CEs)
- Monitoring and managing street civils costs
- Managing and administering Contract Management Systems including reporting
- Task Order Issuing and management
- Instrumental in driving and developing new business
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself
What you need
- Degree in QS or relevant field
- 7+years’ experience (preferably in civils.)
- Contract Management System experience
- Industry knowledge and understanding
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
- Driven Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
