Senior Quantity Surveyor
The Company
Leading Building contractor in South Down are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This role will be responsible for leading on projects up to the value of £30 million all commercial aspects. You will report to the Surveying Director and have a pivotal role in the commercial management of projects.
The Role
- The Senior QS will take on responsibility for numerous projects and work closely with the project team throughout delivery
- Cost Management, ensuring the projects remains in budget
- Prepare tendering projects
- Providing support within Project Monitoring
- Contract Administration
- Effective management of main contract and subcontract accounts
- Preparing interim valuations, identifying and valuing variations
- Dealing with Contractual matters
What you need
- Third level qualification in QS or Construction management.
- 10+ years’ experience
- Experience leading/managing projects up to the value of £20 million
- Use of own initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project
- Sound commercial awareness
- High levels of organisational skills and meeting deadlines
- Travel to site will be required.
