Senior Quantity Surveyor – Galway
The Company
Building contractor working from West to East of Ireland across multiple sectors doing commercial, educational, healthcare, heritage, residential. With an impressive portfolio of work for well known clients you will assist with overseeing commercial responsibilities of a project to the value of £20 million.
This role will offer some flexibility for a remote working day, site visits etc, at a Senior level you will be managing your own workload and time.
The Role
- Tender for projects to required margin levels based on Bills of Quantities, Drawings or Site Surveys.
- Produce budgets and cash flow forecasts for all secured projects.
- Negotiate best prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects comes in on or better than budget.
- Procurement of key materials to suit project programme.
- Carry out value engineering exercises and make cost saving proposals.
- Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Pricing and submitting of costs for all variations in a timely fashion.
- Ensuring contract correspondence is being responded to quickly and contractually
Criteria
- Relevant Degree in QS/Construction Management or equivalent.
- 7+years’ experience
- Management of pricing up projects independently
- Managing time effectively
- Excellent IT & Organisational Skills
